Sometimes there are those days where you want an intense work out. I like to challenge my strength and feel like a bodybuilder when the mood strikes. I’ve tried everything from spin, yoga, barre, rowing, and HIIT. These are the classes that destroyed me (in a good way) in Toronto.
YYOGA
The YSculpt or YExpress Total Body Classes
This workout is quite unique. I figured since we had to take our shoes off, that it would be not as hardcore for some reason. Oh, was I wrong. After my first class, I could feel the muscles burn in my chest where I did those 10 pound dumbbell presses. Our teacher, Christina will push you to the brink of death (kidding). However, she is incredibly motivating.

Studio Lagree
Out of all the exercises I’ve ever done, I maintain that Lagree is still the hardest. The reason: those oh so slow movements.

Spinco
There’s no doubt that spin is a challenge. When I went to Spinco, I found it especially challenging and fun. There’s even one track where they give you weights to lift while you’re spinning. Yes, it burns so good! Also, after every class during the cool down I swear every instructor plays “The Shadow” from the A Star is Born soundtrack, and I do everything in my power to not to burst out crying.

Bodies by Elle
I actually thought I might fall off the treadmill during this workout. The seasoned pros were able to jump on and off the treadmill while it was still running. I obviously did not have these capabilities and was in awe of these warrior women.
