Hasn’t it happened to you that inspiration comes at night? I know a lot of people who prefer to work at night, whatever the work is, either because it seems to them that at night time yields more, or simply because they feel their brain going faster than during the day.
And that includes me. When I think in early mornings, it’s like my brain automatically gets blocked and one of the hardest things I have dealt in my entire life is to wake up early. It’s super hard.
When I was at High School and University I had the hardest times, my brain started to work at midday and I was the kind of people nodding off in the middle of the classroom, however, at night, before going to bed, I was doing homework, reading, preparing myself for the test and my grades were the best, therefore, my mom understood that nights are good for me.
Years passed and I’ve come to decide to work at nights, and of course, I understand the risks that it has. To name some, blood pressure can increase, changes in metabolism or impaired glucose regulation. So I take care of what I eat, I try to sleep at least 8 hours and I do exercise.
When it comes to inspiration or productivity, I won’t swim against the tide.
I understood many years ago that nights have a great effect on my concentration and I can do great things while everyone is sleeping.
However not everything is bad, studies have shown that night-people may have a higher IQ, that creativity at nights have a spike on their brains and they remain mentally alert for longer periods and even though we love nights, we are able to adapt to the 9 am-5 pm shift and still being productive.
So talking about productivity, we can always harmonize our working space with great music, therefore, we can stay focus and we can get creative, depending on our purposes.
Thus, there’s a great playlist that we want to share with you so you can play it whenever you feel necessary.
